“The drone strike in Pruso Township occurred on November 26, but the victim died on December 14 while undergoing medical treatment,” the resident said.

According to KnHRG’s statement, all three victims were men. One was killed by heavy artillery fire, one died in a fire-related incident, and another succumbed to injuries caused by a drone strike. The drone attack occurred on November 26 while the victim was harvesting rice in Pruso Township. On December 14, a body was discovered inside a vehicle that had been burned in Peking Village, Pekon Township. The third civilian was killed as a result of heavy artillery shelling.

In addition to the fatalities, KnHRG reported that 16 civilians including children and women were injured due to the junta’s human rights violations.

Furthermore, the Progressive Karenni People’s Force (PKPF) reported on January 1 that a total of 127 civilians were killed in Karenni State and the Kayan region throughout the year 2025.
