On June 4, at around 5:30 p.m., the military junta carried out bombing by aircraft on three locations in the western part of Demoso Township, Karenni State, killing one man.

“The bombs were dropped after 5:30 p.m. The first one hit near Daw See Ei, the second landed west of our village, and the last one fell inside our village,” a village headman told Kantarawaddy Times.

Due to the bombing, a man in his 30s was killed in the attack, while two other men were injured. Several houses were also damaged.

“He had just come down from his house and was about to eat a salad made from horse hoof leaves when the bomb struck. He collapsed immediately. His brother-in-law went to check on him and was also injured,” said a person close to the deceased victim.

Since the beginning of June, junta forces have continued carrying out airstrikes, drone bombings, and artillery attacks on civilian areas, causing civilian casualties and deaths. Local residents said they are increasingly concerned as the military continues to attack places where civilians live despite the absence of active fighting in those areas.
