The military junta launched a bombing attack near a residential area in Demoso (East) Township at around 10 p.m. on October 5, using two kamikaze drones, according to residents.
“They struck at around 10:20 p.m. No one was injured,” a resident said.

Residents and internally displaced persons (IDPs) said it was the first time the junta had used kamikaze drones in an attack near a residential area in Demoso (East) Township, raising concerns about their safety.

“We had never experienced anything like this before. We had heard about and seen frequent bombings in the western part of the township, but now they are targeting our area as well. We will have to be much more careful about our security from now on,” another resident said.

On October 4, the junta also carried out two air strikes in western Demoso Township.

According to residents, the junta has intensified kamikaze drone attacks and air strikes in Demoso and Hpruso townships since September.
