On the night of September 11, around 10:30 p.m., artillery shells fired by the military junta landed in a location within Demoso Township. As a result, three civilians were killed, and three others were injured.

“Around 10:30 p.m. last night, they fired. The shell landed directly on their house. The whole family was hit. The grandmother and the husband and wife were killed. The children were also injured,” a local resident said.

Those who were killed and injured are members of the same family. The area where the family lived had never occurred clashes since the military coup.

The junta troops have increasingly targeted civilian areas with artillery fire and airstrikes lately.

On September 2, in Hpruso Township, the junta troops also shelled civilian areas, injuring two internally displaced persons.
