Protester’s Body Returned To Family in Kayah State

By Kantarawaddy Times

Burma’s armed forces delivered the body of a man they arrested a day earlier to his family in Kayah State.

Myo Lwin Oo and eighteen others were arrested in Loikaw after armed forces violently suppressed a protest he attended on April 5.

Many people in the Kayah State capital attended the funeral for the forty-eight-year-old man from Daw Oukhu Ward.

On March 19, armed forces killed a protester during an attack on a peaceful demonstration in Mong Lon Ward in Loikaw.

Despite the violence by armed forces against protests in Kayah State, demonstrators refuse to stop until they topple the military regime.
