Karenni commandos raided and captured a frontline camp of the Military Council on the east side of the Thanlwin (Salween) River. On March 16th, between 5:00 – 6:00 pm ,Karenni commandos raided a frontline camp belonging to the 135th Infantry Battalion.
The operation was successful, and the Karenni commandos were able to secure a significant quantity of weapons and ammunition, according to the Karenni Military Information Center (KnMIC) announced on March 17th.
The KnMIC’s statement confirmed that the operation was successful, resulting in the seizure of 6 different weapons, ammunition, and a large communication device, as well as the discovery of the bodies of 3 Military Council members at the raided camp.
On January 27th, the Karenni Army (KA) launched a raid on a military camp located on Point 1441 hill, a frontline base of the Military Council’s 135th Infantry Battalion, 54th Infantry Battalion, and 360th Artillery Battalion, and is situated near the BP-12 Kauk Kauk camp, close to the border between Thailand and Karenni State.
In addition to KA, the Karenni Nationalities Defense Force (KNDF), another Karenni armed organization, and the People’s Defense Forces (PDF), have been mounting daily attacks against the Military Council’s troops along the Thai-Karenni border, throughout Karenni State, and in the southern region of Shan State.
